INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. — The 20th annual Michael Bolton Charities (MBC) dinner and concert on Saturday, Nov. 10 at the Eldorado Hotel and Casino in downtown Reno will honor Parasol’s Co-founder, Warren Trepp and his Jâlé. The Trepps, along with William J. McNamee of Citi and board member of MBC, will be awarded the MBC “Lifetime Achievement” award at the event.
MBC was founded in 1993 to focus on critical issues of violence against women and has raised more than $10 million for children and women at risk of poverty, abuse, neglect, homelessness and domestic violence.
Warren Trepp is the co-founder of Parasol as well as the Past Chairman and Current Chair Emeritus of the Parasol Board of Directors. Jâlé served as Co-Chair of Parasol’s Annual Celebrity Golf Event for more than five years. They are being honored for their longstanding commitment to giving back to the local community.
Two-time Grammy-Award winning artist Michael Bolton will be joined by Dave Mason, a legendary Rock and Roll Hall-of-Famer; Bill Champlin, a Grammy-Award winning songwriter; and Joan Lunden, a journalist and former host of “Good Morning America,” at the benefit dinner and concert to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Michael Bolton Charities, Inc.
The event on Nov. 10 celebrates MBC’s 20 years of assistance to children and women at risk. MBC has selected northern Nevada as its base to launch its national effort to create awareness and education for issues affecting children and women at risk. Agencies that will benefit from the celebration include the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows and the Nevada Military Support Alliance. Work Vessels for Veterans and Yoga Blue will also receive grants.
“The Michael Bolton Charities serves as an instrument of compassion to give to those less fortunate — those children and women who deserve a chance for a better life,” Michael Bolton said. “Celebrating its 20th year, the major focus of The MBC is the critical issue of violence against women. Since its inception, more than $10 million has been raised from contributions and special events, benefiting more than 100 organizations in cities across the country that support children and women at risk of poverty, abuse, neglect, homelessness, child trafficking and domestic violence.”
