For students:Â Real tutors via online Help Center and in the online classroom, writing assistance for reports and other papers, practice tests featuring SAT, ACT, GED, and common core, create mobile flashcards (some sets are pre-made), and online meeting areas to collaborate with group members.
For adults: US Citizenship testing, resume and cover letter assistance, and writing assistance.

Display art in the community room: What’s in Your Locker?
In conjunction with Sierra Nevada College and the Incline Library, we are proud to announce a public viewing of Lake Tahoe School’s 7th and 8th grade art class, What’s in Your Locker. They likened the student lockers to the military packs which the soldiers wore in the book, The Things They Carried, by Tim O’Brien.

Banned Books Week Display
Banned Books Week is an annual event celebrating the freedom to read and highlighting the value of free and open access to information. Books featured during this week have all been targeted with removal for restrictions in libraries and schools throughout the nation. Check out one of these Banned books at your neighborhood library!

4:00 – 4:45 p.m. Guide Dogs @ the Library. Meet members and their dogs from our local Eyes for Tomorrow Guide Dog Puppy Raising Club of Washoe County. Find out more about what guide dogs do and get some tips on getting started raising dogs to help the visually impaired. All ages welcome.

4:00 – 5:00 p.m. Book Discussion. The Things They Carried by Tim O’Brien was chosen as the One Book, One Community book for Incline Village. Like many books about the Vietnam War, this book raises difficult questions. Join our discussion and help us consider all possible answers.
Fridays, October 5 & 19
2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Lifescapes. Lifescapes is a lively opportunity for adults to record their best stories and the lessons they have learned over a lifetime. Drop-ins are welcome.

4:00 – 4:45 p.m. Story Time. Children of all ages are welcome at story time. Join us for stories, songs, games, and crafts!

4:00 – 4:45 p.m. Halloween Story Time. Children of all ages are welcome at story time. Join us for Halloween stories, songs, games, and crafts! Children and adults are welcome to come in costume.
Thursday, October 18
4:00 – 5:30 p.m. Smart Meters. NV Energy staff welcomes the chance to go over the ins and outs of smart meters, talk about the myths vs. fact and how they will help power usage for the customer. There will be time for Q & A after the presentation.
